It is with a great sense of urgency to start this blog regarding the state of our democracy in the United States. As an older age black woman, I have experienced my "share" of racist events and discrimination in my life time, but I never imagined we might lose our democracy until November 2016. This marks the point of Donald Trump's first presidency. It was after the shock of him winning the election I began to look past our idiot president, unto the people who support him. Trump is a symptom of a very bad disease--racial hatred. It is his backers, the Republican House, Senate, and their constituents which must be scrutinized in addition to analyzing this psychotic and narcissistic racist.
I, of course, supported Kamala Harris in the 2020 presidential run, but in the back of my mind, I wondered if voters could get over her blackness and her being a woman. The United States is a very misogynistic and racist nation. In other industrialized nations, people are more flexible and amendable to women being in authority as opposed to here. We can also see the misogyny exhibited in recent Supreme Court decisions, by a Trump packed Court. The Supreme Court has now become corrupt and swayed by politics, not by law. How else could a 34 count felon be sitting in the oval office?
The apathy among black voters, and among other Democrat voters must end if we want to maintain our democracy. I view it critical for Democrats to regain the House and Senate in the upcoming elections, to get any chance of defeating the authoritarian regime through peaceful methods. Otherwise, count on it, that an uprising will occur, and such embers are already stirring.
One thing is for certain, the age of apathy and resignation must end if we are to remove this dictator from office. Trump proclaimed people will never have to vote again if he won the 2024 election. Trump repeatedly stated he did not know what project 2025 was, yet rest assured, this undertaking has been in the making for years. Trump doesn't have the intellectual capacity to devise such a strategy, but peeling back the layers one will see the white nationalist agenda, and the influence of rich white Nazis like Elon Musk--who being a South African, never got over the fall of apartheid. Project 2025 appears to be the brain child of Christian White Nationalists. That's some witness for the faith, straight from the depths of Hell.
I will state my objective of this blog, which is disseminate information to unite those who will stand up and resist this regime. It will require a variety of methods, voting, legal, demonstrations, pressuring elected democratic officials to take action, strategies such as boycotts and sit ins; and hopefully it does not come to the point of war. But if this tide does not turn, revolution will inevitably occur. It will not be a question of if, but one of when.
We cannot always count on mainstream media for our information. A lot of the major news networks are owned by staunch conservatives. For the most part I will post news articles, and videos from level-headed people on YouTube who have been working tirelessly to inform people of the impending danger. I may not necessary endorse every viewpoint expressed, but the ultimate goal should be to work together as not to completely lose our democratic government and to put it back on track! We have a fascist, dictatorship at play, but it is my viewpoint, all is not lost. We must fight this white nationalist agenda with all we got. Resistance is not futile, not at this point. But it will be difficult. If we work diligently together, and realize different methodologies can be applied to achieve the goal of removing a tyrant from office, and the cronies who support him, we will succeed. We must!
