I am delighted to see a man of great artistic talent by the name of Jens Galschiøt crafted a sculpture of Donald J. Trump. The statue entitled "The Orange Plague," depicts a nude Trump sitting on the back of a small man--weighing him down essentially. Trump is also featured holding a golf club in one hand.
The statue was unveiled a few weeks ago at the European Parliament building in Strasbourg, France and is coated with 23-karat gold. It previously was displayed in Greenland and at a climate summit in Brazil. I would love to see it displayed here in the U.S., but do not hold your breath. Even the Smithsonian will capitulate to Trump's demands.
Now, we all know Trump cannot take anyone depicting him negatively. I am quite sure he crapped his britches when he saw this; so sure I felt compelled to rub it in his face to ensure photos of the sculpture remain on the internet.
The artist's intention is to make commentary on climate change and U.S. foreign policy; additionally he has eluded to the fear exhibited by the United Nations and other world leaders when it comes to dealing with our 34-count felon-in-chief.
Beneath the statue, there is a plaque which states:
"I am sitting on the back of a man.
He is sinking under my burden
I will do anything to help him.
Except stepping down from his back.
- The King of Injustice."
